BETHEL, Conn. -- Duracell U.S.A. here will offer its accounts fully customized promotions under a new policy announced here last month.
These account-specific promotions will focus on value-added tie-ins and will carry the retailer's name to drive sales in their stores, the company said.
"Customizing promotions to specific retail needs will help drive battery purchases and build profits," said Bruce Travis, senior vice president of sales at Duracell.
The company said it plans to team with retailers to increase battery sales, turns and profits. It is developing a series of promotion options, many with seasonal tie-ins, which will be supported by coupons, prepack and feature advertising. Duracell expects to work with accounts to help them select the programs that best target their customers and best suit their selling environment, the company said.
