SALISBURY, N.C. — Food Lion will launch a double-coupon promotion in the Raleigh, and Fayetteville, N.C., markets Wednesday. It will honor double-coupon values in 142 stores through March 28.

Up to 20 coupons with a maximum value of 99 cents may be doubled per customer per day, according to reports.

“Our commitment is to everyday low prices in addition to our MVP specials and from time to time we run additional promotions,” explained spokeswoman Christy Phillips-Brown.

Although the chain has accepted double coupons in select stores in Georgia and Tennessee, the promotion is a first for these markets, which are part of phase one of an ongoing rebranding effort focused on price, assortment and shopping experience.
