Gallery: Walgreens’ gets a fresh new look

Walgreens refurbished and expanded its flagship store in New York City’s Union Square (145 4th Avenue). The entire store was remodeled to deliver a “health and daily living” experience.

The first floor features unique consumables like self-serve frozen yogurt, chef-rolled sushi, Barista-prepared coffee beverages, and locally sourced pastries and baked goods. There’s even a “Web Pickup” station for consumers who order online and pick up in-store.

An expansion onto the second floor provided for more robust department offerings, trained beauty advisors; a section for yoga and other fitness products; and a new pharmacy with an immunization room.
