Jakemans Inc., the US subsidiary of LanesHealth, has changed its name to Lanes Brands in a move to better reflect its growing portfolio.

Jonathan Groves, President of Lanes Brands and great grandson of the founder of LanesHealth says, "We wanted to build on our 80-year heritage as a leading manufacturer of dietary supplements, herbal remedies and other medicines in the U.K."

The company has been operating as Jakemans Inc. in the U.S .since 2010.

In May 2016, the company acquired the Smith Bros. brand, a well-known line of throat drops, established since 1847. This reinforces projected growth under the name change to Lanes Brands.  The expanding portfolio also includes the recent U.S. introduction of GOPO Rosehip with Galactolipids joint support supplement.

"LanesHealth has had good success in helping heritage brands regain market share and appeal to consumers looking for tried and true products to treat common ailments," says Groves.  "We believe Smith Bros. fits nicely with our Jakemans Throat & Chest Lozenges as an alternative for consumers seeking relief in products that have been proven to work for generations."
