Kraft Appoints VP Industry Development

The Kraft Food Group has announce Omar Khalaf as VP Industry Development. Khalaf will be responsible for leading Kraft Sales Industry Development with a focus on category and customer development opportunities to ensure relevancy for customers and their shoppers.  Khalaf's various experiences in field and customer development roles will provide a great platform for him to lead this function, says Tom Corley Executive VP and President of Sales for Kraft Foods Group. Khalaf began his career in the food industry 30 years ago in his hometown of Lynwood, CA.  He spent 9 years in retail before joining Nabisco as a Sales Representative in Vernon, CA in 1990.  Over the next 22 years, he served in various management positions including Sr. Director of Planning & Insights for the West and Customer Vice President West Region managing the West Area Regional Customers.  In June of 2010, Khalaf was appointed to the position of Customer Vice President leading the Safeway team for Kraft.
