CRANFORD, N.J. — The Cranford Teen Advisory Board here claims to have set a new world record for the largest pyramid of cans, thanks to a donation from ShopRite’s Partners in Caring program.

The teen group, which is collecting the canned food to donate to victims of Super Storm Sandy, said the pyramid contains 25,585 cans, beating the previous record by 810 cans, according to the group's facebook page. It is 15 feet tall.

The pyramid will be on display in the lobby of the Cranford Community Center until Wednesday.
