NEW YORK — Net Cost Market, a fast-growing grocery chain specializing in Eastern European foods, opened its newest store in the Rego Park section of Queens this week, its chief executive officer told SN.

The new store is the seventh in the chain, which was founded by Uzbekistan immigrants as a Brooklyn deli in 1990, said Edward Shnayder, Net Cost’s CEO.

Its stores today feature full selections of traditional groceries along with imported Eastern European specialty items, service meat and deli departments and specialty prepared foods including smoked fish and pickles.
