Safeway Canada Workers Reach Tentative Contract Deal

WINNIPEG, Manitoba — Safeway Canada and the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 832 here on Friday reached a tentative agreement on a new labor contract, the union said.

Details of the agreement were not disclosed pending a ratification vote. Local 832 represents more than 3,300 Safeway employees at 33 Safeway stores throughout the province.
