O’Shell Becomes Nonfood Director at Rouses

THIBODAUX, La. — Rouses Markets yesterday named Mike O’Shell director of general merchandise and health & beauty care, a new position.

O’Shell, who is on the Membership Advisory Board of the Global Marketing Development Center, was previously director of general merchandise and health & beauty care for Penn Traffic Co., Syracuse, N.Y. He will be responsible for all nonfood products and merchandising and reports to Joe Livorsi, general manager of sales & marketing.

“Mike knows the wholesale process inside and out, and has outstanding relationships with the vendor and broker community. He will be a very valuable asset to Rouses,” said Livorsi in a press statement.

Rouses, a family-owned company, operates 35 stores in southern Louisiana and in Mississippi.
