C&S Wholesale Grocers said it was providing its retail customers new visibility into operations through a platform allowing them to track store deliveries in real time.

Through a partnership with FourKites, C&S Delivery Alerts sends logic-based messages to track store deliveries in real time, including when a truck has left the warehouse, when it is about one hour away, and when it has arrived, according to the Keene, N.H.-based distributor.

Chicago-based FourKites provides a predictive, machine-learning-driven platform for the logistics industry. C&S said the platform has resulted in a 65% reduction in productivity loss while substantially improving its customers’ delivery experience.

“It’s all about transforming the customer experience and providing superior service from orders to delivery. C&S Delivery Alerts gives our customers all the information they need to plan—from employee schedules to shopper promotions,” Joe Cavaliere, chief commercial officer of C&S, said in a release. “When customers know when to expect their deliveries, they can make operational choices that reduce costs and drive their revenue.”

“It’s important that our customers have more visibility into our supply chain, which enables them to manage their businesses more effectively,” said Chris Smith, chief supply chain officer of C&S. “FourKites’ platform allows us to quickly communicate across our organization to better support our customers and optimize our supply chain performance.”
