Coborn’s Adds Curbside Pickup, Transitions Delivery to Cub

Coborn’s is growing its e-commerce operations by introducing curbside pickup and limited home delivery at all 62 locations in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin, where it operates as Coborn’s, Cash Wise, Marketplace Foods and Hornbacher’s. The retailer is concurrently phasing out its CobornsDelivers program in the Twin Cities market, saying it would partner with Cub for all deliveries there.

Cub, which is owned by wholesaler United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI), will begin making deliveries for Coborn’s on Aug. 15, which is when CobornsDelivers will discontinue delivery services from its New Hope facility. Coborn’s is also a wholesale customer of UNFI.

After Aug. 15, CobornsDelivers customers will be directed to shop.cub.com to create a new account to shop online through Cub’s extensive network of stores across the Twin Cities seven-county area. New shoppers will receive $20 off their first order and free delivery for orders of $35 or more with a promo code. The Cub offering is run through Instacart.

Coborn's will continue to operate home delivery in the St. Cloud and Elk River areas, and as Cash Wise Delivers in Owatonna, Fargo and Bismarck, N.D.
