Dierbergs Market, based in Chesterfield, Mo., now has an app to help shoppers with dietary restrictions.

In a partnership with software developer Fig, the Dierbergs app allows those with special diet needs to customize a profile and help stay within their restrictions.

After creating a profile on Fig based on over 2,800 of diets, allergies, and ingredients, shoppers can take advantage of personalized recommendations and scan products to see if they fall within their dietary parameters.

For one month, shoppers will receive a free subscription to Fig , which is a paid tier of the Fig app.

“Fig has built an easy-to-use tool, taking the guesswork out of grocery shopping when food allergies and other dietary needs are a priority,” said Laura Dierberg Padousis, executive vice president of Dierbergs Markets.

Members of the Dierbergs Markets staff were at three locations over the weekend to show shoppers how they can use the app.
