Rite Aid now accepting SNAP payments online via Instacart
Instacart EBT payment program is now available to 96% of U.S. households that receive benefits

Pharmacy chains Rite Aid and Bartell Drugs are now allowing shoppers to pay for online orders through Instacart with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, the company announced on Wednesday.
“By offering this new payment option through Instacart, we are continuing our efforts to provide a flexible and convenient shopping experience for all customers,” Jeanniey Walden, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Rite Aid, said in a press release. “Broadening access to pantry staples and groceries connects our customers to the critical items they need, helping more families achieve whole health.”
SNAP recipients can also make online purchases using their benefits through the Rite Aid and Bartell Drugs digital storefronts and at select physical stores, the company said.
Instacart said it currently is available to 96% of U.S. households that receive SNAP benefits.
