PLEASANTON, Calif. — Safeway launched the "Just for U" online and mobile shopping program in the company's Oregon and Washington divisions.

The program allows shoppers to download targeted savings directly to their Safeway Club Card, including hundreds of digital coupons and personalized deals based on personal shopping history. They can also view filtered and sorted Safeway weekly Club Card Specials on items a shopper buys regularly and create a personalized shopping list on a mobile device or on the Just for U website. Shoppers can save from 10% to 20% more than by using a Safeway Club Card alone, Safeway said.

Safeway tested Just for U in its Chicago and Northern California divisions (including Hawaii) for more than a year before tweaking it prior to a broader rollout.

"With Just for U, Pacific Northwest Safeway shoppers are able to easily save time and money," said Steve Frisby, president of Safeway's Portland and Seattle Divisions, in a statement. "We believe Just for U will be the tool they need to be one step ahead of in-store sales and promotions."
