SAP Adds Mobile Apps

SAP recently unveiled a number of mobile applications—including those that can benefit retailers and shoppers—that link to its enterprise application software. The SAP In-Store Product Lookup mobile app creates a new experience for retail shoppers and employees by helping store managers and associates on the floor better assist customers, say officials for the Newtown Square, Pa.-based software firm. For example, store employees can locate the availability of an item with current stock information in real-time, eliminating the need for shoppers to wait at the checkout counter.
