Schnuck Markets Inc. is amping up its customer loyalty app with two new features.

Schnucks Rewards now offers an in-app shopping list that automatically organizes customers' lists based on store layout, along with a wellness guide that provides nutritional information, labels and attributes of in-store items. Also, Schnucks Rewards now denotes WIC-approved products.

“We heard our customers saying that they’re time-starved and also hungry for more health and wellness information,” said Schnucks VP of Marketing Ted Schnuck. “These new Schnucks Rewards features will make customers’ experiences in our stores more convenient and take the guesswork out of nutritional planning by placing wellness information right at their fingertips.”

The new shopping list feature allows customers to add items by either typing in the name of the product, scanning a product barcode or clicking on a product in a digital ad. Once an item is added to the shopping list, the Schnucks Rewards app also clips available digital coupons. The list updates in real time to allow customers who share the same rewards account to leave a note for other family members or cross off items that have already been purchased.

Schnucks Rewards was launched in summer 2018 and allows members to earn 10 rewards points per every $1 spent on qualifying purchases. After collecting 1,000 points (about $100 in purchases), customers earn $2 off a future purchase.
