SYLMAR, Calif. — Vallarta Supermarkets here, which operates 42 stores, has renewed its agreement with Revionics for the vendor’s price optimization system and also plans to implement Revionics’ promotion optimization solution.

Vallarta renewed this agreement after several years based on the results it has experienced, which which include a more shopper-centric pricing strategy that has helped the chain improve margins, customer loyalty and price image in a highly competitive market, said Revionics.

“We are very satisfied with the results experienced from leveraging Revionics’ price optimization solution — including the ability to price products more accurately for improved sales and customer loyalty,” said Ray Jones, vice president of procurement and marketing for Vallarta, in a statement.
