MATTHEWS, N.C. — Harris Teeter has temporarily waived the fee for its personal shopping service.

First-time customers of Harris Teeter’s “Express Lane Online Shopping” will not have to pay the $4.95 service fee through today. The promotion kicked off Feb. 22.

“Give it a shot for free,” Harris Teeter states on its Facebook page.

Express Lane lets customers order their groceries online, and pick a time they want to pick them up. A personal shopper picks the products off the shelves and delivers it to the customer’s car.

“No hassle, no waiting, no need to get out of your car,” said Harris Teeter.
