Annie's Unveils Organic Cereals

Annie's, Inc. has unveiled a line of Organic Cereal in three varieties: Berry Bunnies, Frosted Oat Flakes and Cocoa Bunnies. 

"Cereal is a particularly exciting launch coming out of Annie's in partnership with General Mills," says John Foraker, Annie's president. "Not only does it represent the first in a long schedule of upcoming innovations, all of which will be USDA Certified Organic, but it traces back to our original acquisition promise: to act as leaders in the larger food industry by making organic more accessible to mainstream consumers. The cereal aisle is one of many places we're committed to cleaning up in the year ahead."

Each variety is free from a long list of artificial ingredients, including artificial flavors, synthetic colors, preservatives and artificial sweeteners like high-fructose corn syrup. All three cereals feature whole grain oats as the first ingredient and contain only 8-grams sugar per serving. 

Annie's Organic Berry Bunnies is a fruity oat, corn and rice cereal in fun bunny shapes. It is flavored with real fruit, including strawberries and blueberries. It features 15-grams of whole grains per serving.

Annie's Organic Frosted Oat Flakes is a whole grain oat and wheat flake cereal. It features 23-grams of whole grains per serving.

Annie's Organic Cocoa Bunnies is a chocolately oat, corn and rice cereal in bunny shapes. It features Fair Trade Certified cocoa and 13-grams of whole grains per serving.

Annie's Organic Cereal will be available at natural retailers in April 2016 and broadly at retailers nationwide this summer with a suggested retail price of $3.99-$4.99 per box.
