Attendees received child nutrition tips, and samples of better-for-you kid snacks like Clif Kid Z food bars. All attendees were invited to play a “NuVal: Nutrition Made Easy” scavenger hunt to win apples.

In other Big Y health and wellness news, the retailer recently hosted a “Stay Healthy Day” at all of its Little Y Kids Clubs. Kids learned about fruits and veggies, healthy food proportions and the food pyramid.

Available to children ages 3 to 9, Little Y is a supervised in-store play area where children can stay while their parents shop for groceries.
