SAN DIEGO — Palomar Pomerado Health here, a health system with two hospitals and other facilities, opened two in-store health clinics inside Albertsons/Sav-on Pharmacy stores this month. It is the first health system in Southern California to partner with a retailer to establish store-based clinics, according to a media statement. “So, integrating the PPH Expresscare health centers into our stores makes perfect sense in today’s fast-paced world,” said Sue Klug, president of Albertsons Southern California Division. Dr. Donald Herip, medical director of corporate health at Palomar Pomerado Health, said, “The PPH Expresscare centers are designed to address standard health needs that require immediate attention, including common illnesses, vaccinations, screenings, skin conditions, minor muscle and joint problems, and routine physical exams.”
