What’s the most rewarding aspect of your job?
I am fortunate to work for a company that allows me to share my knowledge, talents and passion to help others reach their goals and full potential within their career path. There is nothing more satisfying than giving someone the tools, showing them how to use them, encouraging them, supporting them and watching them soar. A retailer’s success is my reward.
What inspires your leadership approach?
I ask myself three questions: Did I provide vision for the future and get them excited? Was I an example of my own values and work ethics? Did I show them the value I see in them and thank them?
What do you value most about being a part of the grocery business?
Just as the kitchen is the heart of the home, the grocery store is the heart of the community, where fundamental needs and life’s celebrations are met. The deli is a destination point of service—for example. for the tired mom that needs fast service, the last-minute party shopper that needs guidance, the lonely widower looking for comfort and a warm meal—and we have every opportunity to be the solutions provider and experience makers to meet whatever the needs are, thereby building loyalty, sales and service.
Favorite food: All things cheese.
