Frank Petrini, 93, founder of

Petrini Markets, San Rafael, Calif. (March 31)

Ralph Liebman, 62, a 43-year veteran of Ralphs Grocery Co., Compton, Calif., who retired earlier in the year as the chain's executive vice president of manufacturing, distribution, warehousing and construction. (May 17)

Brooke D. Lennon, 55, a 28-year veteran of Grand Union Co., Wayne, N.J., who was senior vice president of merchandising at the time of his death. (June 10)

Harold Finch Jr., 67, chairman and CEO of Nash Finch Co., Minneapolis. (Nov. 12)
