Ahold to Host Dietitian Summit

WILLOW GROVE, Pa. — The Giant Super Food Store here will host Field Trip Factory’s 2011 Dietitian Summit, May 18-20.

About 40 retail dietitians and nutritionists from a range of grocery chains are expected to attend. In addition to exchanging ideas with their counterparts, attendees will hear from manufacturers, public health officials, health and wellness authors and publishers. Past attendees have included dietitians from Supervalu, Giant Eagle, Hannaford, H.E. Butt Grocery Co., Lowes Foods and Meijer.

“Hosting the 2011 Dietitian Summit is a wonderful opportunity for Ahold USA to share and demonstrate our own health and wellness programs to others within the industry,” said Shirley Axe, health and wellness manager for Ahold USA in a prepared statement.
