Fegan Moves From Ahold to Winn-Dixie 2008-05-20

QUINCY, Mass. — John Fegan, the well-known senior vice president of pharmacy at Ahold USA here, will leave the company next week to become vice president of pharmacy at Winn-Dixie Stores, Jacksonville, Fla. The Winn-Dixie position is open at this time. A pharmacist, Fegan has been with Ahold for 12 years. Jim Wonderly, currently vice president of general merchandise and health and beauty care at Stop & Shop Supermarket Co., also here, and head of Ahold’s American Sales Co., Lancaster, N.Y., will become vice president of pharmacy for Stop & Shop and Giant Food, Landover, Md., while continuing his responsibilities at ASC. Although Wonderly is not a pharmacist, his accomplishments have included the development of the ASC centralized pharmacy buying model, acting as lead negotiator on the last two pharmaceutical wholesaler contracts, and managing the pharmacy systems group at ASC. Joel Berman has been promoted to vice president of Stop & Shop/Giant’s pharmacy operations, and Marco Leone has been promoted to senior director, GM/HBC.
