Food Marketing Institute has hired Marjorie DePuy as senior director for supply chain and sustainability.

In her new role, DePuy will work to build awareness about the importance of the relationship between the supply chain and sustainability.

DuPuy was formerly VP of industry relations and education for the Healthcare Distribution Alliance, where she guided strategy and developed content. She started her career at the Grocery Manufacturers Association, where she designed and programmed the Future of Food Symposium and coordinated organizational strategic planning. She has a bachelor's degree in government from Hamilton College and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management.

Mark Baum, SVP for industry relations and chief collaboration officer for FMI, said DePuy would bring “hands-on awareness of both the individual challenges and opportunities, along with the synergy existing between supply chain and sustainability issues.”

“Her background in consumer packaged goods companies and her practical experience in building collaborative business relationships will make her a strong solutions-based leader in both of these critical operational areas for the food retail community,” he said.
