Kroger Names Sustainability Director

CINCINNATI — The Kroger Co. announced today that Suzanne Lindsay has joined the company as director of sustainability, responsible for directing Kroger's internal sustainability initiatives and leading the company's Sustainability Leadership Team.

CINCINNATI — The Kroger Co. announced today that Suzanne Lindsay has joined the company as director of sustainability, responsible for directing Kroger's internal sustainability initiatives and leading the company's Sustainability Leadership Team.

Lindsay previously led sustainability initiatives at PetSmart. She has also worked extensively in real estate, development and civil engineering.

"We have made substantial progress in sustainability in the past five years through energy savings, waste reduction, transportation efficiency and by reducing the use of plastic bags," said Lynn Marmer, group vice president of corporate affairs at Kroger, in a statement. "Suzanne will help us accelerate our progress and identify new opportunities to improve our environmental stewardship.”
