Kroger Steps Up Price Investments in Mid-Atlantic

“This venture is a multi-million dollar investment for the company and loyal Kroger customers will reap the benefits,” the Cincinnati-based company said in a statement.
The Mid-Atlantic Division includes stores in Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia, eastern Ohio, Tennessee and Kentucky.
“Price continues to be an important factor when customers are deciding where to shop,” Jay Cummins, president of the Kroger Mid-Atlantic Division, said in a statment. “Now our customers are going to save even more on the items that they buy every week. It will be an exciting time in our stores for our customers.”

Kroger’s competitors in the region include Food Lion, which last week reported its sales were improving, partly as a result of an ongoing price investment program.
