Aldi is having a busy week as it readies on Wednesday for its mega-merch drop for its superfans, as well as a new store opening in Michigan and a relocation in Pennsylvania on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Aldi will drop its new limited-edition merchandise collection of bags, bucket hats, track suits and more. Shoppers can peruse the Aldi Gear Collection in-store or online to order via Instacart beginning Wednesday, while supplies last.

An #AldiGear reminder posted on the grocer's Facebook page Tuesday afternoon drew hundreds of comments from shoppers scoping out their favorite items.

“After we saw the success of our 2022 collection, it only made sense to up the ante this year,” said Joan Kavanaugh, VP of national buying at Aldi, in a statement. “We see shoppers celebrating Aldi products, prices and value on a daily basis, and this impressive line of apparel, that’s not only stylish but versatile, gives us a chance to celebrate our customers right back.”

This year’s gear collection items range in price from $1.49 to $9.99, and Kate Kirkpatrick, director of communications at Aldi USA, told WGB that “once you shop at Aldi, it’s hard not to become a fan. We do things intentionally different to offer customers a quicker, easier shopping experience with the best products at the lowest prices every day.”

Later in the week, the discount grocer will open its newest location in Stevensville, Michigan, located along Lake Michigan. The new store in Stevensville will be located at 5110 Red Arrow Highway.

“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier, and we’ve been voted the price leader for six years running,” said Ryan Fritsch, Webberville regional VP for Aldi, in a statement. “We have served this community for more than 29 years and are excited to continue to offer Stevensville residents an affordable way of shopping.”

The discount grocer on Thursday will also relocate its Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania, store to a new location about four miles away at 100 Tarentum Bridge Rd. in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, as part of the grocery retailer’s roll out of new store designs.

“We are always looking out for the needs of our shoppers, and decided to move our New Kensington store to allow more room for added fresh, high-quality products at affordable prices, which our loyal shoppers know and love,” said JR Perry, Saxonburg regional VP for Aldi.

In January, Aldi was named the country's most-trusted discount and small-format grocer, according to a study conducted by research firm BrandSpark in collaboration with WGB
