We are excited to be joining this wonderful community and look forward to being a good neighbor.” During the grand opening ceremony, Weis donated a combined $10,000 to Upper Moreland High school, Willow Grove Volunteer Fire Company, Abington YMCA, Upper Moreland Soccer Club, Bux-Mont Meals on Wheels, Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger and Public Citizens for Youth and Children. The new store, located in the Marketplace at Huntingdon Valley shopping center at 2100 County Line Road, features an expansive fresh department with more than 700 varieties of fresh produce, an in-store pizza kitchen, sushi bar, a meat department offering hand cut choice Black Angus beef, a seafood department complete with sustainably harvested fish fillets, as well as a full service pharmacy. The store also boasts a 35-seat café for dine-in or takeout, and has a selection of 300 varieties of domestic and imported beer. A Gas N’ Go station is also proposed for the site. The store is eco-friendly with advanced refrigeration and climate control technologies designed to lessen the store’s impact on the environment and global warming. These technologies will reduce the store’s refrigerant usage by 60 percent compared to a conventional supermarket.  As a result, it is expected to achieve the U.S. EPA’s GreenChill Gold-Level Certification.
