MAUDLIN, S.C. -- Bi-Lo has partnered with Cartridge City, Indianapolis, to offer recycled ink cartridge and toner refills chainwide. Customers can drop off their old cartridges and return as early as the following day to pick up newly refilled cartridges. Bi-Lo and Cartridge City have tested the services in 22 Bi-Lo supermarkets in the Chattanooga, Tenn., area. "The tests showed that this is a convenient service for our customers," Bi-Lo spokeswoman Joyce Smart told SN. Bi-Lo supermarkets in the Greenville, Spartanburg and Anderson areas of South Carolina, along with stores in Asheville and Charlotte, N.C., are the first stores to offer Cartridge City's services outside of the test market. Cartridge City is planning to offer service in all Bi-Lo stores and its Bruno's banner stores by early August. Bi-Lo/Bruno‘s operates more than 300 full-service supermarkets in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida and Tennessee. Introductory prices are $9.99 and $14.99. -- Wendy Toth
