LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix here has joined a network of over 20,000 pharmacies run by Adheris, Burlington, Mass., to bring medication education and adherence programs to pharmacy customers.

Adheris works with pharmacy network members to address medication non-adherence through customized and educational refill-reminder programs designed to support prescription therapy as prescribed while safeguarding patient privacy.

"As a neighborhood pharmacy, we are uniquely positioned to provide information on health and wellness to our customers,"said Maria Brous, director of media and community relations, in a statement. "As part of the patient-pharmacist relationship, we also want our customers to remain compliant with their medications to promote the benefits of healthy living. Our partnership with Adheris reinforces our commitment to overall customer service and education."
