QUINCY, Mass. — Stop & Shop is partnering with PetCareRx to fulfill pet prescription needs. More than 60% of its shoppers own a pet.

Stop & Shop now offers three of the most popular pet prescription items that had previously only been available from veterinarians and online providers, including Heartguard Plus, Rimadyl and Frontline Plus.

What the Vet Ordered: Pet Prescriptions

For prescriptions that cannot be filled at a Stop & Shop pharmacy, the pharmacists will work with PetCareRx to fill and ship the medication directly to the owner’s home address for delivery within two to three days.

“We’re pleased to offer this great convenience for shoppers to pick up prescriptions for their pets when they pick up prescriptions for others in their family.”
