Less than one year after receiving a $2 million Series A round investment from Greenmont Capital, Door to Door Organics, an e-grocer with delivery into nine states, will be adding fresh prepared meals to the huge selection of food they deliver to customers’ doorsteps. Fresh prepared meals became available to Kansas City customers on March 15. The other Door to Door Organics locations, based in Colorado, Illinois, Michigan (including delivery into Ohio), and Pennsylvania, (including delivery into New Jersey and Delaware), will add fresh prepared meals to their offerings over the next 6-12 months. “It’s a real challenge to have fresh, healthy meals ready for lunch and dinner every day,” says Chad Arnold, President and CEO of Door to Door Organics. “We want to offer a delicious, simple and convenient solution for those that are pressed for time, but still want to choose Good Food that positively impacts their health, the environment, and our communities.” Door to Door Organics will be carrying a rotating weekly assortment of meals, all of which serve 3-4 people, including four main dishes ($13.99 each), four side dishes ($11.99 each), snacks such as kale chips and hummus ($7.99-9.99) and a dessert ($12.99 each). Customers can order their prepared meals in the same way they now order their fresh organic produce and natural and organic grocery items, through the easy-to-use Door to Door Organics website.
