QUEBEC STORES BEGIN SELLING PRIVATE LABEL

MONTREAL (FNS) -- IGA and Bonichoix stores in the Province of Quebec have begun selling a private label line called Our Compliments.rs, cheesecake, potato chips, tortillas, salsa sauce, cola and non-alcoholic beer and Florida orange juice.The two chains will add another 24 products next spring. MONTREAL (FNS) -- IGA and Bonichoix stores in the Province of Quebec have begun selling a private label line called Our Compliments.

The two chains will add another 24 products next spring. The products have been available in IGA stores in Ontario and the Maritimes for a year.

Wholesaler Hudon & Deaudelin, which supplies the IGA and Bonichoix stores in Quebec, said the private-label products will be priced "significantly lower" than national brands. Rivals Provigo and Metro-Richelieu already carry their own private-label brands.
