SpartanNash opens reformatted Family Fare store

The new store, in Holland, Mich., has fresh meal solutions and a beef jerky bar

SpartanNash has reformatted its Family Fare concept with a focus on fresh meal solutions and convenience. The refreshed concept will serve as a model for future Family Fare remodels, the company said in a press release.

The new store, in Holland, Mich., features fresh meal solutions, convenience-focused food selections, a beef jerky bar, and a vintage candy station.

Other highlights include:

  • An open bakery with live baking
  • An expanded deli including grab-and-go meal solutions like Caribbean Grain Bowl with Salmon and Chimichurri
  • A dedicated value wall showcasing competitive promotions

“This transformation is informed by extensive shopper data and insights, aimed at enhancing convenience, quality and affordability,” said SpartanNash Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer Bennett Morgan.
