Circle K, a division of Alimentation Couche-Tard here, has selected DemandTec Price and DemandTec Promotion optimization systems, DemandTec, San Carlos, Calif., announced today. Under the new agreement, Circle K, with more than 2,100 stores across the United States, will use DemandTec Price and DemandTec Promotion to handle its operational merchandising needs. “We‘ve chosen DemandTec Price and DemandTec Promotion to enhance operating efficiencies and to assist us in meeting our financial objectives," said Brian Hannasch, Alimentation Couche-Tard‘s senior vice president of Western North America, in a statement. Alimentation Couche-Tard, which had $10.2 billion in sales for its 2006 fiscal year, operates thousands of convenience stores throughout North America providing food, beverages and other merchandise, as well as services and motor fuel.
