KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Cosentino‘s Food Stores here, operator of Apple Markets, Sun Fresh and Price Chopper stores, has selected KSS PriceStrat for price and promotion optimization, KSS, Florham Park, N.J., announced yesterday. Cosentino‘s will use KSS PriceStrat as an in-house solution to model, refine and understand the impact of pricing and promotional decisions before they are implemented, KSS said. “The benefits of price optimization are becoming well known within the grocery industry,” said Dennis Reilly, chief financial officer of Cosentino‘s, in a statement. “By having KSS PriceStrat as an integral part of our pricing plan, we will have insight into the effects of tomorrow‘s prices and promotions today.”
