Lloyd Replaces Di Yeso as COO of GS1 US

GS1 US, responsible for bar codes and other standards in the U.S., this week announced that Charles E. “Chip” Lloyd has been appointed chief operating officer for the organization.

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. — GS1 US here, responsible for bar codes and other standards in the U.S., this week announced that Charles E. “Chip” Lloyd has been appointed chief operating officer for the organization. He assumes his position immediately and reports to Miguel Lopera, chief executive officer for GS1 US. Lloyd fills the position previously held by Michael Di Yeso, who left GS1 US earlier this year. Lloyd joins GS1 US from The Global Connection, an international business consultancy, where he served as managing partner. Previously, he spent 16 years with Unilever Bestfoods, where he held senior executive positions in key global markets that included the United Kingdom, the Philippines and Asia. In 1995, he was appointed as president/country manager for Bestfoods Hong Kong.
