LONDON — Colin Cobain, Tesco’s group IT director, is leaving the company at the end of November after leading the IT implementation behind Tesco's first U.S. stores, according to a report from Silicon.com. Cobain is considering future options and told silicon.com he is looking for a CIO role in either the public sector or another industry. Cobain joined Tesco in 2001 and helped standardize its IT systems for implementation in new global markets, including the U.S. Cobain also pioneered the application of RFID technologies at Tesco.
