BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Tyco Fire & Security here yesterday announced its acquisition of Boston-based Retail Expert, a retail data analytics firm, for $14 million. Privately owned Retail Expert offers software and services in loss prevention, vendor management, refund management, pharmacy inventory and shortage, case management and inventory control. These offerings will expand Tyco subsidiary ADT's existing retail offerings that consist of loss prevention and security technologies. Retail Expert clients include more than 30 of the top U.S. retail companies.
