A&P, Stop & Shop Commemorate Earth Day

MONTVALE, N.J. — A&P is linking a paperless coupon for a free reusable Elizabeth Haub bag to shopper loyalty cards.

To redeem the offer, A&P, The Food Emporium, Pathmark, SuperFresh and Waldbaum shoppers simply text 11879 to 224466, and swipe their card at checkout. The bag is made from recycled materials. When not obtained for free, proceeds will support lobbying efforts for environmental preservation.

In other Earth Day news, Stop & Shop shoppers who purchase five participating General Mills items and use a reusable bag will be entered to win a Honda Insight Hybrid. Entries can be earned through April 29. Winners will be announced May 20.
