Lowes President Joins NGA Board

ARLINGTON, Va. — National Grocers Association here said this week that Steve Hall, president of Lowes Foods in Hickory, N.C., was appointed to serve on the NGA board of directors.

ARLINGTON, Va. — National Grocers Association here said this week that Steve Hall, president of Lowes Foods in Hickory, N.C., was appointed to serve on the NGA board of directors.

The announcement was made at the association’s director meeting at NGA's Fall Conference in Minneapolis this month.

"We are pleased to welcome Steve to NGA's board of directors,” said Joe Sheridan, chairman of NGA’s board and chief executive officer of Wakefern Food Corp. “His extensive background, expertise and knowledge of the food industry spans over 35 years, making him a great addition to NGA's leadership.”

Hall previously had been with C&S Wholesale Grocers, where he was senior vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to joining C&S, he worked with several grocery store chains, including Purity Supermarkets, H. E. Butt and Fred Meyer, as well as retailer/wholesaler Supervalu.
