The facility — an existing 728,530-square-foot space — will be operated by World Class Distribution, Trader Joe's distribution arm. Improvements are slated to begin at the end of this week, with hiring set to start in about 90 days.

Trader Joe's, which opened its first Texas store last June, has five stores in operation across the state — in Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Plano and San Antonio, with a second store due in Dallas and its first store in Austin planned.
