MAULDIN, S.C. — Bi-Lo has installed 432 feet of glass doors on previously open refrigerated cases at three Tennessee stores, one in Cleveland and two in Chattanooga.

Bi-Lo plans to install the black RemiSafe insulated glass doors, from Remis America, Elkhart, Ind., in approximately 35 stores this year, with several more in Tennessee already scheduled.

“[The doors] give us more control over case temperatures, allowing us to save on energy and maintain product integrity,” said Dennis Gibson, director of maintenance and energy services for Bi-Lo, in a statement. “Not only that, our customers have made numerous positive comments about how much warmer and more comfortable our aisles are.”
