KEENE, N.H. — C&S Wholesale Grocers here said Tuesday it has hired Max Henderson (pictured) as senior vice president, customer development.

As reported earlier this week, Henderson left his post as president of Southern Family Markets when C&S sold the division to Belle Foods, effective July 1. He previously had been an executive at Ahold-owned banners Giant-Carlisle and Tops Friendly Markets in the Northeast — which are both served by C&S, as is Belle Foods.

At C&S, Henderson reports to Richard Wyckoff, executive vice president, sales and marketing, and chief customer officer. "We are pleased to have Max join our leadership team, and are excited about the role he will play as we continue to invest in new customer services and geographic expansion," Wyckoff said in a prepared statement. Currently, C&S operates 50 locations serving more than 4,000 retail stores nationally.
