CARLISLE, Pa. — Anthony Hucker has resigned as president of Giant –Landover for another opportunity, parent company Ahold USA said Monday.

His departure is effective Sept. 13.

Hucker joined Giant-Landover as president in 2011 after holding a variety of leadership positions at Wal-Mart Stores, including head of its Walmart Express division.

Ahold said Bhavdeep Singh, executive vice president of operations, will oversee the Giant-Landover division on an interim basis until a permanent replacement is named.

The Giant-Landover division, headquartered in Landover, Md., operates 169 supermarkets in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington, D.C.
