Consumers spent more time in the grocery store but ate fewer meals at home last month. July was a continuation of recent trends for U.S. grocery shoppers, IRI reported, as consumers ate fewer meals at home, did more of their grocery shopping in-store and spent more time in the grocery store. How rising coronavirus cases may change things in August remains to be seen.
